To Be a Writer“Mother!” I say

You make use of me more than you should,
although you don’t want to – at least you could
try to resist me with your true heart
to give your humanity a brand new start.

I know it’s not easy to survive without me,
I’m plan B and backup in case of emergency.
Sometimes I’m big help and the rescue you need,
but when the wind shifts, I am a misdeed.

You may succeed when you’re aiming high,
but beware of falling, when you’re gonna fly.
I can give you power, profit and thrill,
but it’s not always according to your will.

It’s a dangerous game, you see.
So you’re better of not using me!
Now I’m asking you: “Who am I?
I am an angel and I’m not a lie!”
